Junior Players Shine; Players with Outstanding National and International Performances to Be Honoured on May 25

Chandigarh, May 24, 2025: The two-day event, 8th Emerald Taekwondo Championship 2025 and Annual Awards Ceremony 2024-25, began at Carmel Convent School, Sector-9 here today. The event is being organized by the Emerald Martial Arts Academy, with over 500 young participants aged 3 to 17 showcasing their skills in various Taekwondo categories. They competed for gold, silver, and bronze medals.

The championship is being held under the leadership of the academy’s founder, Master Shivraj Gharti (6th Dan Black Belt, Korea) and co-founder Kavita Rai (3rd Dan Black Belt).

On the first day, the players gave outstanding performances in events like Taekwondo fights, breaking, speed kicking, and poomsae (forms).

Master Shivraj Gharti and Kavita Rai shared that the Annual Award Ceremony will be held on May 25, the last day of the championship. Players who have shown excellence at the national and international level will be honoured. Also, the best players from various branches of Emerald Martial Arts will be given the “Student of the Year” award. They also thanked Mr. Ramesh Goyal, Managing Director of Khannauri Builders and Developers (KBD), for supporting the event.

Girls: Myra Sharma (Gold), Samaira Garg (Silver), Amayra Verma (Bronze)

Boys: Mikhail Sethi (Gold), Divit Sharma (Silver), Mivan Negi (Bronze)

Age Group 8–11 (Sub-Junior):

Girls: Arna Sharma (Gold), Ivana Hilaria (Silver), Pragati Mahajan (Bronze)

Boys: Rudra (Gold), Aryaveer Tehlan (Silver), Ruhan Garg (Bronze)

Age Group 12–14 (Cadet):

Girls: Gurinayat Kaur (Gold), Anvi Sood (Silver), Ipshita Srikrishna (Bronze)

Boys: Ojas Sharma (Gold), Shivansh Sharma (Silver), Pratap Singh Tiwana (Bronze)

Age Group 15–17 (Cadet):

Girls: Bani Kaur (Gold), Dhanya (Silver), Shivani (Bronze)
