
Chandigarh: Dr Bhanu Pratap Singh, director-orthopedics and robotic joint replacement surgery and Dr Anil Kapoor Vashisth, senior consultant- orthopedics from Park Hospital, Mohali while addressing a press conference here on Thursday highlighted the recent advances in robotic knee resurfacing surgeries

Dr Bhanu Pratap said,”We at Park Hospital Mohali have successfully completed 2500 plus robotic knee replacements surgeries. Park Hospital as a part of anniversary celebrations, is offering free robotic technology to our patients till June 30 at Park Hospital, Mohali & Park Hospital Panchkula. This initiative aims to make advanced healthcare accessible to every section of society.”
He also said that Park Hospital Mohali is the only hospital in the region which is equipped with a robo suite , incorporating robo-3D , robo eye and robo arm, delivering unprecedented precision, efficiency and superior patient outcomes.
Dr Bhanu also shared that earlier the patient would need to stay for 3-4 weeks in hospital for entire knee replacement surgery treatment. But the recent advancement in technology with robotic surgery, now we are doing robotic knee replacement surgery in 12-15 minutes.
Dr Anil Kapoor, senior consultant-ortho said that there is a huge cost advantage for treatment in India. The cost of hip replacement which is around 57000 USD in the USA is just around 7000 USD in India with the same Implant.
