Shubham Chaudhary Appointed Vice President of India Para Powerlifting & Joint Secretary of World Para Athletics Championships 2025

Chandigarh, October 4, 2025: Shubham Chaudhary, who hails from Chandigarh, has been appointed as the Vice President – Para Powerlifting, Paralympic Committee of India (PCI), and Joint Secretary – Organising Committee of the World Para Athletics Championships 2025, scheduled to be held in New Delhi.

Devendra Jhajharia, President, Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) and J. P. Singh (IRS), Chairman, India Para Powerlifting (PCI) felicitated Chaudhary on his new appointment.

These dual appointments mark a significant step in Mr. Chaudhary’s journey as a young leader committed to inclusive sports and youth development. With his dynamic vision, he is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening India’s para sports ecosystem and advancing its global representation.

Beyond his latest responsibilities, Mr. Chaudhary is serving in multiple leadership positions, including State Co-Head – Policy & Research, Yuva Morcha, BJP Haryana; Advisor – BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Chairman – Grappling Committee of North India under the Wrestling Federation of India; and Founder of Rich One Films, a media production house focused on impactful storytelling. His versatile engagement reflects his commitment to youth empowerment, sports, and nation-building.

As Vice President of Para Powerlifting, Mr. Chaudhary will work with PCI leadership to enhance training infrastructure, increase global exposure, and create competitive opportunities for para-athletes. His role as Joint Secretary of the World Para Athletics Championships 2025 will see him contributing to the strategic and operational planning of a mega event expected to attract athletes from over 100 countries.
