Chandigarh, November 23, 2025: The Shimla-Chandigarh Diocese joyfully celebrated the Christ the King Cathedral Feast on 23rd November 2025 at Christ the King Cathedral, Sector 19, Chandigarh. The celebration drew parishioners from different places, religious, and clergy from various communities, united in honoring Christ the King and renewing their spiritual commitment.
The day began with Adoration at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Sector 26, where the faithful gathered in quiet prayer. A devotional procession then moved from the school to the Cathedral, with hymns and prayers expressing deep faith and unity.
At the Cathedral, the community joined in the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Rev. Bishop Sahaya Thatheus Thomas. In his homily, he encouraged the faithful to embody Christ’s love, compassion, and justice in their daily lives.
Fr. Xavier Harold, the Parish Priest, welcomed all participants and expressed heartfelt gratitude for their presence and support, noting that such gatherings strengthen the spiritual and communal life of the parish.
The celebration concluded with a community meal, fostering fellowship and joyful interaction among all present.
The feast truly became a moment of grace, unity, and renewal, marking the Jubilee Year 2025 with faith-filled devotion and vibrant community spirit.
