Fortis Mohali to host international experts to deliberate on complex cases of varicose veins at EUVIC-2025

Chandigarh, July 29, 2025: To spread awareness on varicose veins and advanced treatment options associated with the management of varicose veins, Fortis Hospital Mohali is organizing the 11 Edition of the Endovascular & Ultrasound-guided Venous Intervention Course-2025 (EUVIC) – a Global Confluence of Vascular Experts at the facility from 30th July to 2nd August, 2025. The event will bring together esteemed vascular surgeons of national and international repute from around 40 countries, while setting a global benchmark in vascular education and providing hands-on training.

Giving information during a press conference organised here on the eve of EUVIC, Dr Ravul Jindal, Director, Vascular Surgery, Fortis Hospital Mohali, whowill lead the sessions and conduct the courses, said, “The four-day event will provide hands-on training to all delegates to enhance their understanding of venous ultrasound physics and instrumentation, venous lower extremity ultrasound evaluation, mapping for vein ablation procedures and management of venous diseases.”

The course highlights also include ultrasound-guided punctures & IJV, femoral, popliteal access, compression therapy, CLACS, sclerotherapy, picopresso, lymphedema dressings, varicose vein treatments, EVLT, RF ablation, glue, MOCA, microwave, hybrid pelvic reflux & dialysis access (AV fistula, angioplasty, chemoport, besides advanced interventions in vascular surgery such as DVT thrombolysis, IVC filter placement, Infrapopliteal angioplasty for diabetic foot, hybrid AVM treatments, chronic deep venous stenting, and IVUS-guided perforator closure.

Dr Jindal furthersaid, “The objective of the event is to spread awareness about the symptoms, causes and treatment options of varicose veins. Patients suffering from varicose veins have visible dilated veins in legs which cause pain, swelling, itching and bleeding. Some patients also experience skin pigmentation and ulceration in the leg. The medical ailment is diagnosed through clinical examination and duplex ultrasound, and there are various procedures to ablate these veins.”

The renowned international faculty includes Prof Jean Uhl from FranceDr Jean Benigni from FranceDr Wassila Taha from UAE and Dr Pascal Filori from France. The course will also be attended by varicose vein service providers, sonographers and other allied healthcare professionals.

Dr Piyush Chaudhary and Dr Shabjot Dhillon from Dr Ravul Jindal’s team also took part in the press conference.
