4 days , 26th Inter School Stamp Exhibition held every year with support of India Posts , Rajasthan Circle in Jaipur started with opening ceremony on 3rd November 2025 at Junior Hall , St Xavier,s School , Bhagwandas Road , Jaipur at morning 11.00 o clock today .
Chief Guest of the opening ceremony was Chief Postmaster General , Rajasthan Circle Col Sushil Kumar and Guest of honor was Principal St Xavier,s School Fr M. Arokiam . Guests on the dias including AD Vigilance Mrs Priyanka Gupta IPS , President , Philatelic Society of Rajasthan Mr Yogesh Bhatnagar and Gen Sec , PSR Mr Rajesh Paharia were welcomed by members of Xavier,s Philatelic Club .
UNO has declared 2025 as ‘Year of Quantum Science & Technology’ thus India Posts released special slogan postmark on this occasion at the venue . Students were provided free postcards to write any message about exhibition which was posted in letter box placed at venue . The Chief Guest released special picture card with slogan showing Noble Prize winner Scientists of the world who have earned name in Quantum Science Field and Sh Meghnad Saha , Popular Indian Scientist. A book titled ‘School Philately’ published by Philatelic Society of Rajasthan was also released by Chief Guest . General Secretary , Philatelic Society of Rajasthan Mr Rajesh Paharia told that the publication share the history of 25 years journey of Schoolpex Exhibition which has no other similar example of conducting of stamp Exhibition for school children for over 25 years worldwide. The book also tells about developing Philately and Conducting Exhibition in School .
The Audience present in Exhibition enjoyed the screening of Animation filmmade by BVB Vidhyashram Philately Club on subject of India Freedom Story through stamps.
Apart from St Xavier,s School Students , many other school students also visited the exhibition and saw beautiful and awarded collections and also posted postcards with message about exhibition . Students were excited to see collections on various subjects which included colorful world of Butterflies , Cars , Musical Instruments , Wildlife , Inventions & Inventors , Space , Birds , Mahabharat , Sports , Fishes , Freedom Fighters , Olympics etc . The original Gold and silver plated stamps were centre of attraction for students.
Total 126 Entries have been received from 10 schools and they will be awarded 3 Trophies , first , second , third and consolation prizes in every group of Seniors , Juniors and Virtual Presentations.Jury to the exhibition was declared during the inauguration . Mr Rakesh Walia a senior philatelist from Chandigarh and Dr. Rakesh Thapar from Rajasthan Philatelic Society
