State Level Bankers’ Committee, Haryana PNB Launches Three-Month Campaign for Saturation under Financial Inclusion Schemes

Three-Months GP level Campaign For Saturation Under Financial Inclusion Schemes & Financial Awareness (01.07.2025 To 30.09.2025)

As per instructions of DFS, MoF, GoI three-month saturation campaign under Financial Inclusion (FI) schemes (PMJDY,PMJJBY,PMSBY,APY) is being conducted across the country in 2.70 lakh Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).In the state of Haryana 6221 camps will be held in all GPs/ULBs wef 1st July 2025 to 30th September 2025.
The campaign aims to cover all eligible individuals under PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY@Rs.436 pa), PM Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY@Rs.20 pa), Atal Pension Yojana (APY). Further, PMJDY accounts of unbanked adult will also be opened in the camp. This initiative is aligned with the Government of India’s mission to ensure that no eligible citizen remain deprived of these social security schemes.

Besides above undernoted activities will also be carried out in the camps:-
Re- KYC of existing inactive PMJDY accounts and other than PMJDY accounts as well;
Awareness session on digital and cyber fraud.
Procedure to reclaim unclaimed deposits transferred to RBI and benefits of Banking Ombudsman
Distribution of claims under PMJJBY/PMSBY.
To ensure effective results during the campaign special SLBC Meeting was convened on 25.06.2025, which was chaired by Shri C G Rajnikanthan, IAS, Secretary, Finance, Govt of Haryana. In the said meetingDeputy Commissioners/Addditional Deputy Commissioners of all 22 districts participated online through Webex alongwith Lead District Managers of Bank. Controlling Head of major banks in the state of Haryana took part physically . All stake-holders were advised to put extra efforts to achieve saturation under financial inclusion schemes.

On 01.07.2025 State level Launching Programme held at Gram Panchayat Bastara in Karnal which was attended by Shri Sonu Bhatt, IAS, ADC, Karnal and around 100 persons participated.

In Haryana camps are being organized by all stake-holders and by now 799 Gram Panchayats have been covered.

In Haryana there is network of 5465 bank branches of scheduled commercial banks , 55135 BCAs, 144 Financial Literacy Centres (FLCs), 51 CFLs (Centre for Financial Literacy) and 21 RSETIs which will work tirelessly throughout the campaign period for organizing the camps successfully.

Expected Outcomes:
Improved social security coverage and financial resilience
Increased awareness and usage of formal financial products.
Enhanced digital financial infrastructure, awareness about prevention of cyber frauds resulting into confidence in digital banking among rural populations.
We hope that campaign will empower every citizen and access to banking, insurance and digital services. It will drive equitable growth, reduce poverty, support entrepreneurship and ensure social security and will PM’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
